Are you one of the 43.6% who’ve seen this?

“… Make it nice and quick. Say thanks, let them know they’ve made a good decision, and then tell them what to do next. Get in and get out in less than 90 seconds if you can…”

Enough about my dating technique though…

(Badum tish)

… because the above is what I use as a brief when writing “Thank you” page video scripts for clients.

If you want to add one to your site, that’s all there is to it:

  1. Thank them for their purchase
  2. Affirm them and congratulate them on making a good decision (dose ‘em with a hit of dopamine)
  3. Tell ‘em what to do next.
  4. Say goodbye.

I should charge you something for that.

Promise me you’ll remember me when you use it and become mega-wealthy.

Anyway, when it came to making my own thank you page video, I wanted to do something different.

(for “different”, read “silly”)

So, I came up with an idea and filmed it.

The thing is… I didn’t upload it to my site for ages.

I was stuck in that “what are people gonna think?” mode. You know, where you end up doing NOTHING because you’re worried that one person on the planet will hate it and your life will be over?

I was only reminded yesterday that it still existed when I uploaded the video about scarcity I mentioned yesterday.

So, I’ve added the video back to my thank you page.

According to the little-used “stats” section of my email program, there’s only a 43% chance that you’ve seen it.

I’ll be honest, your life is probably better for being in the minority.

Still, if things are going a little too well for you lately, and you want to put a bit of a dampener on your life…

… feel free to enjoy/endure the worst thank you video on the internet by clicking here.

I’m not making this post for clicks, I’m making it to remind you that it’s OK to ask yourself, “How would I do this?” when thinking about this kind of stuff.

P.S. If you don’t have a thank you video somewhere on your site, think about adding one.

Filming yourself saying a sincere “thank you” is a great way to form a strong bond with your audience, so…

… if you’re looking for a quick and easy win – something that’ll win you fans even when you’re sleeping…

… pull out your phone and shoot a quick thank you video.
