What’s in it for them?

(them = your customers)

It’s OK to boast about the awards you’ve won, or how long you’ve been in the biz…

… as long as you show them why they should two hoots about it.

Great – your new widget is leaner, cleaner, greener, and 23% obscene-er than the competition…

… why should your customer care?

How does it make their life better?

It’s very easy to get caught up in your own hype, layering on feature after feature, as you try to differentiate yourself from the competition…

… but unless you can answer the “Why should your customers give a shit?” question…

… it’s all for nothing.
